The Writer's Circle 2024 - George Town Yacht Club

Featuring our Festival Poet for 2024 Randal Morrison, Poet /Author in conversation with Tony Newport, Author, Singer Songwriter.

Randal is from Strahan  and Tony both grew up on the West Coast of Tasmania. This will be a great interview, not to be missed.

Tea and coffee available at no charge.

Bell Buoy Tea Bags- George Town Yacht Club
A one Act play reading, written by Debbie Searle

Read by Debbie Searle, Carol Beaumont, Jan Hughes and Jo Hart.

This play relates to the story of four women who vow to swim in the ocean every day for a year. It explores themes of friendship, adoption, nutrition and compost! It has been performed as a play reading by Scottsdale players and a fully rehearsed play by Three Rivers Theatre.

 Approx 35 minutes

Join in the fun of the Festival Market run this year by Bee Bop Dance .

A large variety of arts and crafts, Handcrafts, Jams, honey, food and fun.

Music in the Street

Come down town for a coffee and browse the Market and shops, where our musicians and dancers will perform for your enjoyment.

Rob Van Der Elst and Bruce Penn in Concert

Bruce is a Poet/Artist and Rob a Singer Songwriter.

This show has been performed in Deloraine, to a capacity audience.

Each year we put out the call for singers and we always have a wonderful Choir.  

Come join in the fun. If you love singing , this is for you.

The Choir is invited on stage on Sunday at the final performance.

A free event , but you will need a ticket for the Final Concert.

Songs and Stories from Tasmania's West Coast , written and performed by Tony.

Tony will be accompanied by  the Semaphore Singers, a  local singing  group who will provide backing vocals to Tony's songs. Providing a wonderful depth to these songs from the heart of Tasmania.
